Legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao will be remembered by Telugu audiences forever because he left a lasting impression with many iconic roles in cult classics. Akkineni family is carrying forward his legacy with numerous activities every year. This year, it will be a special one.
To mark his birth centenary, a Panchaloha statue will be unveiled by Akkineni Nagarjuna and his family members on this 20th in Annapurna Studios. He was born on September 20, 2024 and went on to become a stalwart of Tollywood with his acting repertoire in numerous crowd-pleasing characters that are cherished even in modern times.
Akkineni family has reportedly sent invitations to all noted celebs of Telugu and other language film industries. Many politicians are also going to grace this prestigious event that will pay a befitting tribute to ANR.
Coincidentally, another legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao also completed his birth centenary earlier this. Nandamuri family undertook a spate of events to celebrate his birth anniversary. The Government of India has honoured him with the launch of a commemorative 100 rupees coin which is inscribed with three lions and Ashoka Chakra.
