Actress Madhavi Latha complained MAA Against Municipal Chairman JC Prabhakar Reddy

Saturday, January 18, 2025

The controversy between TDP senior leader and Tadipatri Municipal Chairman JC Prabhakar Reddy and BJP leader and actress Madhavi Llatha has started again. This controversy started during the celebrations organized by JC Prabhakar Reddy in Tadipatri on the occasion of New Year, which was objected by her expressing fear over the safety of women to attend such events at mid-night.

While countering her, JC Prabhakar Reddy made inappropriate comments, but later apologized to her. Everyone thought that this controversy was over with that. But now Madhavi Latha has filed a complaint with the Hyderabad Film Chamber, alleging that JC Prabhakar Reddy made inappropriate comments about women in the film industry.

She said she is approaching the Film bodies as no action was taken against her complaints to the Human Rights Commission and also to the police. She deplored that JC’s comments were political and cinematic, but the film industry did not respond so far to this.

Madhavi Latha explained that she had filed a complaint with the Movie Artists Association (MAA) in this context and said that the allegations against the film industry were incorrect and that she would continue her legal fight against JC. She has requested action against the TDP leader, who had made inappropriate comments about women in the film industry.

To this extent, on Saturday, she handed over her complaint to the ‘Maa’ Association (Movie Artists Association) treasurer Shiva Balaji. She posted on X that she will fight for justice.

“They said that I am a film girl and made comments that film people move around like this and live like this. This is definitely related to the film industry. They scolded me in terms of film and politics. Since they talked about the film industry this must be condemned”, she said.

“I have been working since 2015. Film is my passion. I did not come for a living. Maybe it is not due to my nature. That is why I am doing my job. Maybe someone on social media does not care about something, but many people believe in political leaders. That is why I was very hurt by his (JC Prabhakar Reddy) comments,” she added.

Further, she asserted that “they have been paired with the wrong person. It is not their fault that I am being silenced. I also grew up in the Rayalaseema region. I grew up eating ragi and natu kodi. I saw faction stories. I saw bloodshed. I grew up watching all that. I do not know what fear is. He spoke in a way that insulted women working in the film industry. I will fight a legal battle against him.”
