ACB Issues Notice to KTR in Formula E Case

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has served a notice to BRS working president and former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) in connection with the Formula E event held during the previous BRS regime. The notice summons KTR to appear for questioning on May 28. In response, KTR informed the ACB that he is scheduled to travel to the United Kingdom and the United States later this month and assured that he would cooperate with the investigation after returning.
KTR alleged that the notice is politically motivated and part of a larger campaign of vendetta by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. “Just 48 hours ago, Revanth’s name appeared in an ED chargesheet. Within a day, he met with the Prime Minister and BJP leaders. Now I am being served an ACB notice. There is no comment from the BJP on Revanth’s alleged role in money laundering,” he said. KTR added that he has formally responded to the ACB and is prepared to cooperate as a law-abiding citizen.
Extending support, former minister T. Harish Rao said the notice was a sign of the Chief Minister’s insecurity and accused the Congress government of engaging in retaliatory politics. “These fabricated cases won’t stand in court or gain public sympathy,” he said. Harish Rao asserted that the party stands firmly with KTR and expressed confidence that the truth will prevail.
