Former minister and senior YCP leader Kodali Nani, who was notorious with his abusive language against political opponents and also the repressive regime in Gudivada is now facing a series of complaints with the change of government in the state. Soon after election results, few cases were registered against him on the basis of complaints from victims.
Recently a new case was registered against him in Gudivada-02 Town Police Station. A case has been registered against former AP Beverages MD Vasudeva Reddy, former MLA Kodali Nani and former Krishna District Joint collector and presently East Godavari District Collector Madhavi Latha Reddy as per the complaint filed by Duggirala Prabhakar, a resident of Gudivada Autonagar, for causing the death of his mother.
According to Prabhakar’s complaint, the police have registered cases under sections 448,427,506 R&W 34 IPC against Kodali Nani and others. On this occasion, Duggirala Prabhakar said that in 2011, they got the license of AP Beverages Liquor Godown in the name of his mother Sita Mahalakshmi through public tender.
As soon as the YCP government came to power in 2019 Beverages’ former MD Vasudeva Reddy, Madhavi Latha Reddy and former MLA Kodali Nani tried to benefit a person named Padma Reddy. They said that Kodali Nani’s followers threatened them. He alleged that liquor cases in their godown were broken and burnt.
They complained to the police about this matter and they ignored it. He said that when his mother Sita Mahalakshmi questioned Vasudeva Reddy over phone stating that this was unfair and that he cursed her and abused. Even Joint Collector Madhavi Latha also abused her, when she complained to her.

He deplored that even after filing a complaint with the police on Friday after change of government, he has been receiving threatening telephone calls for naming some YCP leaders in his complaint.
