President Murmu, PM Modi Expressed shock over Kurnool Bus Accident, 19 Dead Bodies so Far Recovered

The horrific bus accident that took place at ChinnatekurT in Kurnool district in the early hours of Friday has plunged the state into mourning. President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Ministers of Telugu states have expressed deep shock over the incident.

According to DIG Koya Praveen, there were a total of 43 people in the bus. Of these, 41 were passengers and two drivers. Out of the 41 passengers, 39 were adults and two were small children. Out of these, 10 were women. So far, 19 bodies have been recovered from the bus by the forensic team. They said that the process of identifying them is ongoing. They said that 19 people who are safe have been identified, and many of them are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

President Murmu expressed her deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the bus accident and expressed her deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident. She wished the injured a speedy recovery. Vice President CP Radhakrishnan also expressed shock over the accident. Expressing condolences to the families of the deceased, he said that he wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Similarly, Prime Minister Modi tweeted that the horrific road accident that took place in Kurnool, AP, was deeply shocking. He expressed his grief that his thoughts were with the families of the victims at this tragic time. He expressed his condolences and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. He announced a compensation of Rs. 2 lakh each for the families of the deceased and Rs. 50,000 each for the injured under the PM Relief Fund.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu ordered a comprehensive inquiry into the Kurnool bus accident incident with the transport ministers and officials of other states. CM Chandrababu, who is currently on a tour in Dubai, held a video conference with Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy and several officials.

He directed that the details of the deceased be collected and immediate assistance be provided to their families.  He said that the injured should be provided with better medical treatment. CM Chandrababu has issued orders to immediately conduct fitness, safety and permit inspections of private buses. He suggested that technical inspections of buses be carried out in all districts.

He warned that strict action will be taken against those responsible if negligence is found to be the cause of this accident. CM Chandrababu has sought a complete report on the registration, fitness and permit details of the private bus that was involved in the accident.

Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has issued warnings to travel owners in the wake of the Kurnool bus accident. He said that they should not be negligent in the matter of fitness and insurance and warned that if anything happens due to the negligence of the bus owners, cases will be filed under the crime of murder. He advised that speed limits should be strictly followed and that passengers should not be played with.
