In a thrilling move, the producers of Kantara have announced that the film will soon be released in English. This will be a historic release in that it will be the first Indian film to be officially dubbed and released in English in order to collect more viewers in a wider variety of markets globally. To reduce the English version, some scenes have been shortened, bringing the total running time to two hours and 14 minutes.
