Minister Konda Surekha’s daughter Sushmita has made serious allegations about Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s younger brothers alleging that they are grabbing lands in Telangana. The dispute between ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Konda Surekha seems to be turning against the Chief Minister and his close associates.
The government’s removal of Konda Surekha’s OSD Sumanth over the settlement allegations and the siege of Surekha’s house by the task force police led to Sushmita revealing key points in the high drama.
She recalled an incident that “Some people who built villas in Manchirevula asked for endowment land for a road. They said that if they gave the land, they would give private land in return. With this, Minister Surekha signed this file. But Revanth Reddy, who was in Japan at that time, stopped the file”.
Exposing the reason behind Chief Minister’s abrupt intervention, Susmisha alleged that Revanth’s brothers are trying to illegally acquire those endowment lands. She accused that Revanth Reddy of cooperating with them as the Chief Minister. That is why, she felt that the file signed by her mother was stopped.
Moreover, she said that “Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy gave the tender for the Medaram works in the Endowment Department under my mother’s jurisdiction to the people he wanted. If the tender was opened for physical bids, our people got the tender. Ponguleti called my mother and threatened to withdraw it. When she failed to oblige, they forced us to do it without our knowledge. Now they have transferred that tender to the R&B department”.
Sushmitha lemented that Reddy leaders who have formed a faction against them are trying to trample the BCs. “I don’t know what they did wrong that the police should be sent to my house when I am alone, even though my mother and father are not at home”, she wondered.
Sushmita alleged that the Chief Minister and Reddy ministers in the Congress are trying to trample the BC leaders together. She said that now they are saying it is an extortion case and that Sumanth is being held hostage. She suspected that a conspiracy was being hatched to file a case against her father Konda Murali under the Arms Act.
She warned that whatever happens to his parents, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will be fully responsible. Sushmita questioned why Revanth Reddy’s brothers Tirupati Reddy and Kondal Reddy were given gunmen? She directly questioned what they had done to the Congress?
She expressed anger at the fact that they were acting in a way that would alienate their own party leaders, and that they did not even tell them why they sent a task force police to their house without providing minimum security and brought in female police officers? She expressed her grief that the outpost at their residence in Hanamkonda had also been removed.
