Friday, December 5, 2025

Following the directions from the AP High Court, the AP CID officials seized all relevant documents related to the dollar theft case in Tirumala Parakamani, during YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime. They examined files for 5 hours in the TTD administrative building. The CID DG Dr Ravishankar Ayyannar said that the files of the Parakamani theft case were seized on the orders of the High Court. They collected the case details in the Tirumala One Town PS and Lok Adalat.

Dr Ayyannar said that the seized files will be handed over to the High Court. Meanwhile, the CID investigation continued in the Srivari Temple Parakamani dollar theft case on Tuesday. CI Chandrasekhar, the then Tirumala Second Town Police Officer who registered the case related to the theft, was questioned.

Documents and CCTV footage related to the case were examined. After examining the Parakamani, Dr Ayyannar met with TTD security officials at the police guest house and conducted an investigation there. It is known that a theft took place in the Parakamani of the Tirumala Srivari temple in March 2023.

In this incident, TTD employee Ravikumar was caught stealing $ 920. Later, a PIL was filed in the High Court alleging that TTD did not conduct a full investigation in the case. After that, there were allegations that the then ruling class closed the case by reaching a compromise in the Lok Adalat.

After the compromise in the Lok Adalat, Ravikumar donated assets worth Rs. 14 crore to TTD. It is noteworthy that the CID has started the investigation of the Parakamani case with the latest orders of the High Court in the wake of these developments.

As part of the investigation, TTD board member Bhanuprakash Reddy submitted the evidence in his possession to DG Ravi Shankar Ayyannar. He, who had been fighting since the beginning that the Parakamani scam was big, spoke to the media outside the police guest house after meeting the DG.

He made it clear on this occasion that those involved in this scam, even if they are in the underworld, will be brought out. He accused the previous government of intentionally protecting the thieves. He said that the investigation will reveal who shared the assets with the accused Ravikumar. He described this victory as the victory of the devotees of Srivari.
