A video in which Addepalli Janardhan Rao, a key accused in the case, alleging that the manufacturing of fake liquor started during the YSRCP government and that it was carried out under the auspices of former YSRCP minister Jogi Ramesh at that time, is currently going viral.
“Jogi Ramesh called me in April and told me to start manufacturing fake liquor again. He told me to give it a bad name when the coalition government comes to power,” Janardhan Rao said. According to him, although the manufacturing was initially planned to start in Ibrahimpatnam, it was started in Thamballapalle on Jogi Ramesh’s instructions.
“Jogi Ramesh said that if we do it in Thamballapalle, Chandrababu will get mudslinging. That is why we set it up there,” he said. According to the details given by Janardhan Rao, Jogi Ramesh directly said, “Let’s make a big plan to give a bad name to the coalition government.” Moreover, they also promised to provide financial assistance for this.
Janardhan Rao claimed that Jogi Ramesh had said, “I will provide all the facilities and support required for the manufacture of liquor. You just start working.” He revealed another interesting fact in his video. “They deliberately sent me to my friend in Africa. They raided the manufacturing site while I was away. This information was leaked by Jogi Ramesh’s people,” he said.
“The real intention was to file cases against us and damage the coalition government,” he also alleged. “Later, they called me and promised, ‘Don’t come from Africa, I will take care of everything, I will give you bail.’ But after that, they cheated me,” Janardhan Rao added.
“Jogi Ramesh deliberately implicated my younger brother also in this affair. Believing his words, I completely fell for his scheme,” Janardhan Rao said. At the same time, Thamballapalle MLA Jayachandra Reddy also clarified that he had nothing to do with the matter.
“They tried to undermine trust in Jayachandra Reddy by saying that he would not get a seat in the upcoming elections. But he has nothing to do with this matter,” said Janardhan Rao. “I have known Jogi Ramesh since childhood. I believed his words and fell completely into the trap. He trusted me and cheated me. That is why I am now coming out and telling the truth,” said Janardhan Rao, an accused in the fake liquor case.
