The recent adulterated liquor case in Mulakalacheruvu, Annamayya district has led to war of words between two firebrand women leaders. The fact that the government is also arresting the leaders of the ruling coalition in this case has become a boon for the YSRCP. In addition, the YSRCP is demanding that the Center conduct a CBI investigation into this matter.
Former YSRCP minister Roja has demanded for Center’s intervention and has strongly criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for engaging in diversionary politics to divert public attention from the facts of the adulterated liquor case. In AP, she accused that NDA means selling fake distilleries, that is, a miserable administration.
Roja alleged that the NARA and their alliance are working only to loot the people and the state. She lamented that the leaders of the Telugu Desam Party are the ones who manufacture adulterated liquor and supply it to the people through belt shops and bars.
Without government support, she made it clear that there is no situation where illegal business can take place from the seedling pond to Chandrababu’s house. “The green batch has been found along with evidence,” she said.
The former minister expressed concern that the Chandrababu Naidu coalition has increased illicit liquor, ganja and drugs, which is harming the lives and reputation of women. According to government figures, Roja alleged that the cases of ganja drugs have increased by 21% in a year.
Meanwhile, TDP MLC and Chief Whip Panchumarthi Anuradha reacted sharply to this and said that Roja is not consistent in his word, so she should be called Taitakkala Roja. She accused that during her party’s rule, people’s blood was sucked through straws with inferior liquor, and he asked them to remember that.
She said that it was in an attempt to erase your sins that the adulterated liquor business came to light in the Malki Cheruvu. She alleged that this adulterated liquor had taken root during Jagan’s tenure as the Chief Minister, and it was exposed after the coalition government came to power.
Panchumarthi Anuradha recalled that the coalition government, which exposed the issue of adulterated liquor at the seedling pond, by the excise officials in the government. She wondered that the opposition is blaming the government for the crime while they are also cleaning it up.
