Amaravati: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan underlined the special place of women in Indian culture, stating that women hold the highest values in the country and have been revered since time immemorial. He added that he regards every woman as a form of Goddess Durga, emphasizing India’s strong tradition of maternal respect.
Pawan Kalyan unveiled the book Aame Suryudni Kabalichindi, authored by former UN Assistant Secretary-General Lakshmi Murdeshwar Puri, at Tummalapalli Kalakshetra in Vijayawada. Speaking at the event, he encouraged people to read books to develop mental maturity and broaden their understanding of social and cultural values.
On his personal philosophy, Pawan Kalyan said he follows Indian thought and prioritizes balance over ideological labels like leftist or rightist. “I read the character of Malati in Aame Suryudni Kabalichindi. The book reflects India’s freedom struggle, social conditions of that era, and our traditions. Women hold the highest values in our country. Politically, we have recognized women—our JanaSena women’s wing has been named after the bravewoman Jhansi,” he stated.
