Mega star Ram Charan is reuniting with director Buchi Babu Sana for the high-octane sports action drama Peddi, which is currently advancing rapidly in production. In an exciting development, a special song from the film is set to begin shooting in Pune on Friday, featuring Ram Charan alongside Janhvi Kapoor, who will join him for dynamic dance sequences.
The track, composed by Oscar-winning A.R. Rahman, has been designed to blend melody with high energy. Choreography by Jani Master is expected to highlight the chemistry between Charan and Janhvi, making it one of the film’s key attractions. Set against a rural backdrop, the song is anticipated to play a significant role in the narrative of the film.
Currently, approximately 60 percent of Peddi has been shot, with the editing of the first portion largely completed by Navin Nooli. Ram Charan will appear in a never-seen-before mass look, featuring a fuller beard, mustache, and a distinctive nose ring, adding a unique visual appeal to his character.
Cinematographer Ratnavelu praised the story, stating, “Buchi Babu’s script is exceptional. While it draws some inspiration from Rangasthalam, Peddi is entirely original. Charan is experimenting with new body language and dialogue delivery for this role.” The film also stars Shivrajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma in pivotal roles. Produced by Vridhi Cinemas, the pan-India film is scheduled for a global release on March 27, 2026.
