Friday, December 5, 2025

The AP CID decision to challenge the bail granted by ACB Court to YCP MP and key leader of the party P Mithun Reddy, in the AP High Court. The ACB court has recently granted regular bail to Mithun Reddy, who was arrested in the liquor case. With this, Mithun was released from Rajahmundry jail after 71 days. He is participating in party affairs again.

However, now the decision taken by the CID is coming as a shock to Mithun Reddy. The CID has filed a petition in the High Court seeking cancellation of Mithun’s bail referring to some legal flaws in granting of the bail. This petition is likely to come up for hearing on Monday.

The SIT has named MP Mithun Reddy, who is A-4 in the liquor case, as the mastermind in the entire affair. Mithun Reddy, who was arrested in this case, was a remand prisoner in Rajahmundry jail. In the meantime, he was granted interim bail to vote in the Vice Presidential election. After that, Mithun surrendered again. After that, the ACB court granted bail to Mithun with some conditions. With this.. Mithun came out of jail.

Meanwhile, the CID Additional SP filed a petition in the AP High Court on Friday seeking to quash the ACB court’s verdict on 29th of last month. It will be heard by Justice Venkata Jyotirmayi Pratap on Monday. He said that there are legal errors in the regular bail order given by the ACB court.

He asked that the fact that Mithun Reddy did not mention his criminal history in the petition filed in the ACB court should be seriously considered. He criticized the ACB court for granting regular bail just 10 days after dismissing the bail petition. He said that filing a charge sheet as per the Supreme Court verdicts cannot be considered a change in the circumstances.

He said that the ACB court has misinterpreted the legal provisions and the Supreme Court verdicts. He said that the reasons given by the ACB court for granting bail are not reasonable and the verdict given is contradictory. With this the arguments that will now take place during the trial and the court’s decision is increasing political tension.
