Hindupur MLA and film actor Nandamuri Balakrishna’s remarks in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly calling former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy a ‘psycho’ have created a stir in political circles. Balakrishna’s remarks on the insults inflicted on film personalities during the rule of former CM Jagan are creating a stir.
During the debate in the Assembly, MLA Dr. Kamineni Srinivas said, “Film personalities were insulted during Jagan’s rule. Jagan did not want to meet film personalities that day. In the end, he met them only after Chiranjeevi strongly requested him.”
Balakrishna objected to these comments, saying, “No one asked strongly that day. In fact, I was also invited to meet that psycho. But I did not go. The fact is that Chiranjeevi was insulted.” He further deplored that, “In the current coalition government also, my name was printed in ninth place in the Film Development Corporation”.
“As soon as I saw it, I objected. I also questioned who wrote it like this? Whatever mistake was made, I responded to provide clarity to the Assembly,” he added. In order not to misunderstand his comments in the Assembly, Balakrishna asked the House, “I apologize if I have said anything wrong. My intention was only to provide clarity.”
The atmosphere in the Assembly heated up for a while with these comments. Balakrishna’s comments about the damage to the respect of celebrities from the film industry once again showed his straightforward nature and honest nature. On the other hand, he said without saying that he would always bring up the issues of the film industry. Overall, the insult to film celebrities during Jagan’s rule became a topic of discussion in the Assembly again.
Balakrishna’s comments on this, “It is true that Chiranjeevi was insulted,” became a hot topic in the House. In addition to making it clear that he did not go despite being invited, he also indirectly made it clear that he would always be at the forefront of protecting the honor of film celebrities in the future.
