Strongly dismissing allegations that some BRS MLAs defected to Congress, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made it clear that just wearing a headscarf does not mean that the party has changed. He claimed that the BRSi leaders are not clear on the issue of MLAs changing parties. He recalled that Harish Rave himself had said in the Assembly that he had the support of 37 MLAs, which is on record.
CM Revanth claimed that KTR is giving a different number about MLAs and said that the Speaker will take a decision on the disqualification of MLAs who have changed parties. Moreover, he said that there are no specific rules on party defections. He asked wait to see what decision the Speaker will take.
CM Revanth Reddy said that Rs. 5,000 from the salaries of the MLAs who complained about BRS going to BRS party every month. He alleged that there is internal strife in the KCR family and that KCR, KTR, Harish Rao and Santosh Rao are trying to attack a girl (Kavita) together. He called on the women’s world to respond to the four of them attacking a woman.
However, CM Revanth clarified that this is their family problem and he has nothing to do with it. He lamented KCR for having many children in the name of movement and emotion, and that feeling touched him and caused his daughter to distance herself. He alleged that a case had been filed against him in the past and that he had prevented his daughter from going to her wedding.
However, he said that he would oppose Kavitha joining the Congress. He recalled that KCR’s family members are accusing him of trying to merge BRS with BJP. CM Revanth alleged that Union Minister Kishan Reddy and KTR do not want the second phase of the Metro to be completed and are not allowing it to move forward for their own selfish interests.
He said that L&T did not say that it was shirking its responsibilities, but that the company was saying that there was a loss in the first phase. Should people suffer for the mistakes made by KCR and L&T?, he asked. He said that the second phase of the Metro was supposed to be completed in 2017 itself, but due to KCR’s negligence, it is not moving forward even today.
