Pan-India sensation Prabhas made a huge splash with his latest blockbuster “Kalki 2898 AD” by Nag Ashwin. The movie also saw the Tollywood entry of Bollywood legend Deepika Padukone, who stole hearts with her commanding performance.
Post the release, there was speculation that Deepika could come back for the sequel but contradictory rumours indicated otherwise. Now, Vyjayanthi Movies has put the issue to rest once and for all. In a statement, the production house confirmed:
“Deepika Padukone will not be part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership. A film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future projects.”
Meanwhile, the production for Kalki Part 2 has already concluded, and the team is ready to start shooting at the earliest chance when Prabhas is available. Everyone is also brimming with excitement to find out what this historical saga has in store next.
This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD.
