YSRCP Leader Bhumana Landed In Trouble Accusing TTD About A Abandoned Idol

Friday, December 5, 2025

YSRCP senior leader and former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy seems to have landed in trouble once again by making serious allegations against TTD. He launched a campaign of misinformation in the name of an idol that was abandoned near the old Alipiri check post in Tirupati after it was damaged.

On Tuesday morning, he took a video of the statue and posted it on social media, alleging that ‘a great disrespect has been done to the statue of Sri Maha Vishnu’. TDP alliance leaders expressed their anger that Bhumana is deliberately spreading false propaganda against TTD.

They clarified that the idol at the feet of Alipiri is not a idol of Sri Maha Vishnu, but  of Lord Shani. The TTD board reacted strongly to this in the TTD governing council meeting held in the afternoon. Chairman BR Naidu and members warned that criminal cases will be filed against those who spread false propaganda against TTD and sent to jail.

Meanwhile, the Alipiri police have registered an FIR against Bhumana on the complaint of Deputy Executive Engineer Govinda Rajulu of the TTD Engineering Department, who alleged that he was hurting the sentiments of Hindus by spreading bad news about TTD. With this information, Bhumana released another video.

He asked why the idol of Shani is decorated with conch shells and whether TTD is not responsible for removing it if someone brings it and throws it away? Meanwhile, the AP Fact Check Department has strongly refuted Bhumana’s allegations. It has warned that legal action will be taken against those who hurt the sentiments of devotees with false propaganda.

Meanwhile, Guruswamy, son of Sthapathi Kannaya Chari, has given clarity on the idol in Alipiri. He said that about 22 years ago, they had an idol manufacturing shed on Rayalacheruvu Road. He said that at that time, a person from Bangalore had given them an order for an idol of Shani. He later revealed that he had died.

He said that they had gone to Shilpa Quarters in Alipiri as their condition was not good. He explained that they had been evacuated from there in the wake of the bomb blast in Alipiri in 2003, and at that time they had taken the small idols and left the huge idol of Lord Shani there. Guruswamy explained that this idol has been there for 22 years.
