Friday, December 5, 2025

Hyderabad: BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) has raised concerns over allegations that Group-1 posts were sold for substantial amounts of money. Several students have reportedly claimed that Congress ministers and officials from the Chief Minister’s office were involved in these irregularities. KTR stated that Telangana youth, who dedicate years of effort and valuable time preparing for government exams, have had their trust betrayed by the current administration.

He demanded that the Group-1 examination be conducted afresh under a transparent process, free from any irregularities. KTR called for the establishment of a judicial committee to investigate the reported malpractice and identify those allegedly responsible for selling government positions. He stressed the importance of restoring faith in the recruitment process and ensuring fairness for all aspirants.

Highlighting the gravity of the situation, KTR said such allegations undermine the confidence of the youth in the state’s public service system. He urged immediate action from the government to investigate the claims thoroughly and implement corrective measures to maintain the integrity of Telangana’s recruitment process.
