BRS Executive President KT Rama Rao announced that Maganti Sunitha, wife of former MLA Maganti Gopinath will be party’s candidate in the forthcoming by-election in Jubilee Hills constituency, expected to be held in October or early November. She is the wife of late MLA Maganti Gopinath.

The by-election is scheduled to be held following the death of Maganti Gopinath. KTR made this announcement at a meeting of Jubilee Hills BRS workers held at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday. Gopinath’s wife Sunitha and former minister Gangula Kamalakar also participated in the program.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that he is confident that she will have everyone’s blessings. He said that making Maganti Sunitha win with a huge majority in the Jubilee Hills by-election is the right tribute to Gopinath. KTR accused Congress leaders of thinking that they would win this by-election if they distributed Rs. 5,000 for each vote.

He alleged that the Congress government had not implemented any of the promises made before the election. Similarly, KTR criticized the Congress government for not going to the elders, saying that the Hydra brought in did not care even if the CM’s brother occupied the pond and built a house, but went to the slums of the poor and demolished their houses.

KTR expressed his confidence that surveys had been conducted in the backdrop of the Jubilee Hills by-election and that the party’s situation in the constituency was very good. However, he said the party is lagging behind in some slums, and expressed hope to win if all work together. He asked all the activists and leaders to work together and work for the party’s victory.

KTR also suggested that the names of those who were not there should be removed from the voter list. KTR called on party workers to show their strength in the Jubilee Hills by-election if KCR wants to become the CM again. KTR expressed hope that the BRS Jaitrayatra should start from Jubilee Hills.

Later, Maganti Sunitha said that like her husband Maganti Gopinath, she also asked the workers to stand by her. She called on everyone to work together to fulfill Gopinath’s aspirations. She expressed confidence that BRS will win the Jubilee Hills by-election with a huge majority.
