Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has ordered officials to take strict action against urea black marketing. He has instructed officials to ensure that there is no urea problem in the state. Officials explained to him that a total of 80,503 metric tons of urea is available.

Chandrababu conducted a review on urea supply, onion purchases, RTGS, and the health condition of the people in Turakapalem. Officials told the CM that 23,592 metric tons of urea are going to arrive in ten days. CM Chandrababu spoke to Union Minister Nadda on the allocation of fertilizers and requested that 7 rakes of urea be given to AP in the ship arriving in Kakinada. Nadda responded positively to this.

The CM said that plans should be made from now for the distribution of urea in the Rabi season. He asked to go to the field level and assure farmers about fertilizers. Chandrababu, who conducted a review on onion purchases and support price in the Kurnool market, clarified that the price of a quintal of onion should not fall below Rs. 1,200. If it decreases, the government will pay the remaining money, he said.

Chandrababu Naidu inquired about the pod borer disease affecting Araku coffee. He wanted to take steps to prevent it from spreading to other areas. The CM ordered a regular review of the health situation in Turakapalem village. On the other hand, the government has issued a GO for the import of 17,293 MT of urea at Kakinada port. Minister Atchennaidu ordered that the urea be sent to the districts urgently.

He suggested that it be seen without any problem. Officials said that there is currently a stock of 80,503 MT of urea. Atchennaidu said that the center has already allocated 9.3 lakh MT of urea to the state for Rabi. However, farmers are facing difficulties in many places in the state for urea. As farmers queued up in large numbers, there was slight tension at some distribution centers.

Minister Atchannaidu reiterated that there is sufficient availability of fertilizers in the state and that farmers need not worry. They left their slippers in the queue for urea in front of the society building in Gullapudi, Gampalagudem mandal, NTR district.

Farmers had gathered in large numbers at the society building in the morning. Unable to stand in the queue until the officials arrived, they left their slippers. In Vissannapet, farmers were stranded at the Rythu Seva Kendras and societies for not getting urea. Large numbers of people queued up at the Narasapuram and Putrela offices for fertilizers.
