YSRCP Krishna District President and former Minister Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani) expressed his anger that the state has not benefited from the Jana Sena Party and Pawan Kalyan during their 11-year political journey. He accused that Pawan Kalyan’s ideology of changing his stand on caste, religion and politics as needed is not understood by those who came to trust him.
If Sugali Preethi was murdered in 2017, he wondered how Pawan Kalyan would ask now if the evidence would be tampered during the Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime? He asked him why unable to convince the Center on Visakha Steel privatization, though Pawan Kalyan claims to be very close to Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah?
Nani lamented that no one do not even understands whether his ideology is pragmatism or something else. If one looks at his ideology running the Andhra Pradesh government about caste, he recalled he has been speaking in different words at different times.
“When you need it, you talk about one kind of casteism and when you need it, you talk about another kind of casteism, the people and your workers do not understand what kind of ideology you have”, he said.
“You have also spoken different words about religion on different occasions. For a while, you said that only Hindu leaders create conflicts about religion. You said that your grandfather used to light a cigarette when your grandmother performed Deepa Raodhana. On another occasion, you said that I have been baptized. Once again, they say that I am an unapologetic Sanatani Hindu. They say that there is no religion now”, he added.
“Even God cannot guess what you will say tomorrow. If you look at your political theory… your entire office is filled with people, Mayawati, and your journey with the communists, then with saffron clothes, and now with the Telugu Desam Party. Yours is not a single theory. Leftism, rightism, and centralism all belong to Pawan Kalyan”, he wondered.
Nani mentioned that while participating in the party meetings in Visakhapatnam, Pawan Kalyan went to see the Rishikonda Tourism Resorts for the second time. Instead, he asked why couldn’t he go to see the Visakha Steel Plant that you stopped from privatizing? Why couldn’t yhe celebrate your success amidst the congratulations of thousands of employees, Pawan Kalyan?
