Amaravati: Minister Anagani Satyaprasad on Wednesday criticized the previous government for mismanaging the district division process, saying their hurried actions and pressure tactics did not benefit the people. He spoke to the media after a cabinet sub-committee meeting at the Secretariat.
“The government has set up a GO M to address public grievances. People from across the state have submitted petitions, and ministers will visit districts in two groups on August 29 and 30. Meetings will be held at 13 joint district centers to receive public petitions, and all grievances will be addressed by September 2,” he said.
The minister added that a comprehensive report will be submitted to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who will take the final decision. Adjustments will be made only to district, mandal, and revenue division boundaries, while constituency changes are not being considered at this stage. Satyaprasad emphasized that administrative convenience and public welfare will guide all decisions and mentioned visits to Alluri Sitaramaraju district’s Paderu and the Polavaram submersion areas.
