Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to complete the construction work of the capital Amaravati in record time, six months before the stipulated deadline. He held a review on the progress of the construction work of Amaravati at the Secretariat and inquired about the progress of development work in LPS layouts in Amaravati, including the residential buildings of ministers, MLAs, officials, employees and judges, roads and flood control work.
Officials told Chandrababu that tenders have been called for works worth Rs. 50,552 crore in the capital Amaravati and 74 works have been started. The Chief Minister ordered that the respective works be further accelerated and said that he would review the progress of the Amaravati works every month. He made it clear that if the works are not completed on time, the officials along with the contracting company will have to take responsibility.
The CM said that he would monitor the progress of the works in real time. He directed the officials to give speedy permissions to various organizations that will undertake the construction of offices in the capital. He said that land should be allotted to BITS Pilani, XLRI and other organizations quickly. He said that the extent to which the 72 organizations that have been allotted lands so far are carrying out constructions should be continuously monitored.
The Chief Minister said that investments and ventures should also come in connection with these. Chandrababu said that the capital city is not complete with the construction of buildings alone. He said that economic activities should also come on a large scale. He said that investors will come if the constructions are completed and visibility as the capital city is gained.
He said that an ecosystem like knowledge economy and startups should also be created in Amaravati. He explained that the top ten real estate companies in the country should also be invited and given the opportunity to undertake projects here. He informed that EV vehicles should be encouraged to turn Amaravati into a green energy corridor.
The Chief Minister ordered the officials to record and present the details of the air quality in the Seed Capital, Capital City and Capital Area areas. Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to resolve any problems regarding the plots given to farmers in the capital Amaravati. He said that the appeals of the farmers should be examined and steps should be taken to ensure that the master plan is not affected.
