Pulivendula ZPTC By-poll Turns Do or Die For YSRCP

As the ZPTC by-election campaign to be held in two places in the combined Kadapa district concluded on Sunday evening, everything became a mystery. While former MLC B.Tech Ravi’s wife Latha Reddy is contesting as a TDP ZPTC member from Pulivendula, Hemanth Reddy is in the fray from YSRCP. There are 10,600 votes here. A total of 11 people are contesting here.

This election has become very prestigious. In a way, it has become a do or die for YSRCP. Now the TDP has made an unexpected comeback. Former MLC B.Tech Ravi, MLC Ram Gopal Reddy and TDP district president R Srinivas Reddy have joined hands for the victory of TDP candidate Latha Reddy.

District in-charge Minister Savita, Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy, MPs CM Ramesh, Byreddy Sabari, MLAs R. Madhavi, Putta Chaitanya Reddy, Putta Sudhakar Yadav, Bandaru Sravani, Bhupesh Reddy, MS Raju and other TDP leaders have campaigned extensively for her.

On the orders of former Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy, Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy is working for the victory of YCP with a strategy. District President Ravindranath Reddy, former MLA Rachamallu Sivaprasad Reddy, Kadapa Mayor Suresh Babu, YCP leaders from Kurnool and Anantapur districts have campaigned extensively.

People are going to vote for the first time in many places in the local body elections, free from highhandedness in the YS family fortress. In Ontimitta, Addaluru Muddukrishna Reddy is contesting the by-election from TDP and Iragamreddy Subba Reddy from YSRCP. Ministers Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, BC Janardhana Reddy, Farooq, TDP District President Jagan Mohan Raju, MLAs Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, Pattipati Pullarao and other leaders campaigned on behalf of TDP.

They have promised to complete the Srirama lift irrigation scheme in Ontimitta at the earliest. On behalf of YSRCP, MLA Amarnath Reddy, Kadapa Mayor Suresh Babu, Govinda Reddy and other YSRCP leaders from Annamayya district campaigned vigorously. There are a total of 13 panchayats and 24,600 votes here. There are 11 people in the running.

As the parties that took the ZPTC by-elections very seriously are distributing money to the voters at the same level. First time each candidate is said to be distributing Rs 5,000 for each vote, thus each voter is getting Rs 10,000. The entire distribution was reportedly completed by Sunday night itself.
