Expressing concern over tension prevailed now in Pulivendula in the wake up ZPTC by-election, Dr Sunitha, daughter of former minister Dr YS Vivekananda Reddy, who was brutally killed at the same place six years ago, that the accused who killed her father are now conspiring to commit another murder similar to that one.
She alleged that Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy’s followers attacked and tried to kill Suresh, a member of her group, during the Pulivendula ZPTC by-election. She made these remarks after a courtesy meeting with the district SP on Thursday, along with her husband.
Sunitha expressed her grief over the attack on her relative Suresh and allegedly said that she suspected that he was attacked by the followers of MP Avinash. She said that she has been fighting the case for the last 6 years. She expressed her impatience that the culprits have not been punished so far.
She was angry that they were spreading lies that she and her husband Rajasekhar Reddy had her father (Viveka) murdered together. She demanded that the wrongdoers be punished. She lamented her anger that the accused in the murder case were roaming around outside.
Dr. Sunitha reminded that her father (Viveka)’s birthday is on Friday and expressed her grief that her mother told her not to come to Pulivendula. She said that she had to go around with security to fight for justice. However, she expressed her confidence that she believed that justice would definitely prevail any day.
She said that cases are being filed against her and her husband. She warned that no matter how many cases are filed and threatened, there will be no fear. Sunitha has made it clear that she will continue to fight until justice is served.
Meanwhile, the Pulivendula police have registered a case against YSRCP leaders MP YS Avinash Reddy and Satish Reddy after some people complained that they had violated the election rules and held a rally with a large number of workers without permission.
