Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition government has decided to involve the public in the construction of Amaravati, the dream capital of Andhra Pradesh. As part of this, a special system has been set up to receive donations from the public. This program has been launched for those who wish to financially help the capital.

The CRDA website crda.ap.gov.in has a special option called ‘DONATE FOR AMARAVATI’ for this. If you click on it, a QR code will appear. You can scan this code and donate as much cash as you can for the construction of the capital. The entire amount you donate will be credited to the AP CRDA account.

In October 2015, the then CM Chandrababu Naidu launched ‘My Brick, My Amaravati’ for the construction of the new capital. People bought each E-brick for Rs 10. This innovative program launched by Chandrababu received an unexpected response from many countries around the world at that time. Many NRIs donated 10,000 bricks each. A receipt with CM Chandrababu’s signature was sent to the person who donated.

Recently, donations are being collected for Amaravati through QR code. On the other hand, the construction work of the capital Amaravati is going on at a fast pace. It is known that the government has already allocated lands to several government and private organizations and settlements in the capital area.

However, there are poles of 220KV and 132KV high-tension power lines in many places on those lands. Due to these, underground power lines are being established to prevent problems in the construction of the respective organizations.

Currently, work is underway to lay the lines coming from the 400KV substation in Tallayapalem and the 220KV substations to be built in Lingayapalem and Nelapadu underground. Work to replace existing towers has also gained momentum. Underground ducts are being installed to allow high-tension lines to pass through them.

Minister Dr P. Narayana made it clear that the first phase of Amaravati will be completed in 3 years. He revealed that the highest construction standards in Singapore will be implemented in Amaravati. He stated that the focus has been on beautifying the riverfront. He said that the development work of Gravity Canal, Palavagu, and Kondaveeti Vagu is progressing at a rapid pace.
