Senior BRS leader Peddireddy Sudarshan Reddy has alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and concerned officials were directly involved in the Telangana Civil Supplies scam. He said that Revanth Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy are the main actors in this scam.
Former Minister Gangula Kamalakar and Peddi Sudarshan Reddy filed a complaint with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday regarding the scam in the Civil Supplies department.
On this occasion, Peddireddy Sudarshan said that though their leaders KTR and Harish Rao had raised the grain purchase tender scam that took place eighteen months ago in the Assembly, there has been no response from the government.
He said that they have also approached the High Court on this issue. He alleged that the bidders collected an additional Rs. 2230 per tonne of grain from the rice millers and sent it to Congress leaders. He said that they have collected details of 187 accounts where money was illegally deposited.
He said that they have filed a complaint with the ED with the evidence they have collected and also filed a complaint with the CBI and the Directorate of Intelligence along with the ED. He revealed that a booklet of more than 700 pages has been prepared and is being sent to the investigating agencies. He expressed hope that the culprits in this scam will definitely be punished.
Sudarshan Reddy said that the BJP’s non-response to this scam in the Civil Supplies Department raises many suspicions. He said that this robbery has been exposed. He alleged that Rs. 423 crores have been transferred to various bank accounts.
He said that the government’s non-response despite the High Court asking it to file a counter-argument several times is proof that this scam has taken place. He said that this corruption is still going on.
Former Minister Gangula Kamalakar said that irregularities were committed in the grain purchase tenders from the beginning. They alleged that money that was supposed to come into the government coffers went into the accounts of private individuals. He deplored that despite a complaint being filed at the Panjagutta police station about this scam, no FIR was registered.
They questioned why the ACB was not responding to this scam. They said that they have faith in the investigation agencies, which is why they are complaining about this scam to the investigation agencies in the state as well as the center. They demanded that Union Ministers Bandi Sanjay and Kishan Reddy should open their mouths about this scam.
