C. Kutumba Rao, Vice Chairman of Swarnandhra P-4 Foundation, clarified that the P4 (Public-Private-People Partnership Program), launched by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on the occasion of Ugadi, is being implemented as a voluntary program. He said that through this scheme, the financially strong people of the society are being given the opportunity to voluntarily contribute to the development of marginalized families, individuals and villages.

He said that if those who have grown financially strong in the society provide help to the marginalized poor, inequalities will be eliminated and equality will be established in the society. He said that the government has conducted a survey with the aim of ensuring that everyone can live as wealthy, healthy and happy citizens of Andhra Pradesh and has identified families that need to develop economically and socially as golden families.

Kutumba Rao clarified that the scheme is completely voluntary, meaning that no one is forcing anyone to join it, saying that those who are capable of helping have been identified and registered as mentors. He denied that some opposition parties and some individuals have recently been spreading false propaganda about the P4 scheme.

He made it clear that the allegations that the DEO (District Education Officer) is forcing headmasters and teachers to enroll as mentors are untrue. He said that no official orders have been issued and only those who want to can participate in this program. He asked that such a good program should not be given space for untruths.

If anyone forces them, he asked them to please inform the relevant authorities or the government. He said that more than 50,000 mentors have already been registered voluntarily, and he asked that 6 lakh golden families be identified. Stating that the mentors are also adopting them, he praised Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu himself for adopting 250 families and becoming an example for the P4 scheme.

Kutumba Rao reminded that India is the fastest growing economy in the world and is recognized as a country with a growing number of billionaires at the global level, and that a large percentage of billionaires are our countrymen. However, he said that it is the responsibility of those billionaires to improve the economic and social well-being of the marginalized along with them.

He said that this is why the government is asking them to voluntarily become part of this scheme. He also clarified that the government is making it clear that all government officials participating in the P4 scheme should see it as a voluntary program only and work without any compulsion.
