BJP National Vice President and Mahabubnagar MP DK Aruna has alleged that the BRS- Congress collusion politics have once again come to light in Telangana. She has flagged that the ‘hide and seek’ political drama that is misleading the people of the state is continuing.
She recalled that Revanth Reddy had made serious allegations against the BRS government regarding phone tapping, personal surveillance and privacy violations when he was the PCC president. Aruna expressed astonishment that now he is stating that he would have received notices if his phones were tapped during the BRS regime.
Stating that earlier he only knew that his and his family phones were tapped, she wondered whether the Chief Minister forgot all those of his statements? Or were the allegations made by Revanth Reddy in the past a drama? Or is the package deal reached with the BRS party now the reason?, she asked.
Aruna made it clear that this is clear evidence that package deals were reached between BRS and Congress. She accused that it has once again become clear that the Congress and BRS parties are just waging a war of words in front of the people and are negotiating packages in the dark.
Moreover, she said that the central authorities have already revealed sensational facts about the Kaleshwaram project scam. In this regard, Revanth Reddy, who was the then PCC chief, criticized the KCR family for corruption worth thousands of crores of rupees in the Kaleshwaram project, demanding a CBI investigation.
But, she wondered that after coming to power, he became the protective shield of the BRS party. It is known that the cost of the Kaleshwaram project, which was started with Rs. 38,000 crores, was increased to Rs. 1.2 lakh crores. She said that the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports clearly stated that thousands of crores were wasted out.
Aruna asserted that a thorough investigation needs to be conducted into the sanction of tenders, reconstruction costs and construction failures in this project. However, she alleged that the Congress government has not taken a single step forward after coming to power and is only indulging in conspiracies to water down the case.
She was furious that for the last 19 months, it has been stalling in the name of investigating the Kaleshwaram corruption and has confined itself to criticism without arresting the real culprits. She demanded that the Congress government should show its sincerity by demanding a CBI investigation into the Kaleshwaram project corruption case.
It is not just the Kaleshwaram project corruption, she also referred to drug cases that came to light during the KCR regime, corruption in power procurement, diversion of funds in the Formula E racing case, land scams, irregularities in job recruitment. She lamented the Congress government for promising to investigate all these cases, but has not yet caught the real culprits.
