Andhra Pradesh Sports Authority (SAAP) Chairman and senior TDP leader Ravi Naidu has leveled serious allegations against YSRCP leader and former minister RK Roja, claiming that she could face arrest within the next 20 days. Naidu accused Roja of siphoning off crores of rupees under the “Aadudam Andhra” scheme during the YSRCP government’s tenure.
According to Naidu, Roja collaborated with then SAAP Chairman Byreddy Siddharth to misuse funds earmarked for sports development through the Aadudam Andhra program. He also revealed that an internal investigation into Roja’s role is already underway.
Naidu further criticized the poor quality of sports equipment procured under the scheme, alleging that low-grade, overpriced items were purchased while manufacturers paid hefty bribes. Drawing a comparison to the notorious liquor scam, he claimed that similar corrupt practices plagued Aadudam Andhra.
Warning that Roja’s political and legal troubles are mounting, Naidu said the ongoing probe is uncovering shocking details about the extent of bribery and financial irregularities. He expects an arrest warrant against Roja to be issued soon.
Accusing Roja of misusing public funds during her stint as Sports Minister, Naidu called her a burden on society and advised her to prepare for jail. He also urged Siddharth Reddy to be ready for possible legal action. While the final outcome of the investigation remains uncertain, Naidu affirmed that the inquiry is revealing explosive evidence, and he is ready to back every claim with concrete proof.
