IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh has described Guntur city as the Chartered Accountants Factory of India. Participating as the chief guest at the mega CA students’ conference organized by the Guntur chapter of ICAI under the title “Spurthi” in Guntur on Sunday, he said that Guntur city is producing more CAs than doctors and engineers. He said that there are 10,000 students studying CA more than doctors and engineers here.
Lokesh said that Guntur is home to Chartered Accountants with excellent talent, high pass percentage and lofty goals. He praised the Telugu CAs who have spread from Guntur to the Gulf, America and Australia, showing their talent to make India proud. It is difficult to enter the CA profession, impossible to ignore, he said. Although the CA course is difficult, he said that it takes the youth to the top.
He said that it is as difficult to make a diamond as it is to obtain a CA degree. He hailed the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) as the backbone of India’s intellectual power. He said that even after 76 years of its establishment, the institution is still young. He said that this institution is not only the largest institution in India, but also the largest accounting powerhouse in the world, he added.
Lokesh recalled that CA profession is spread across fields like taxes, law, banking, investments, technology, policy. Behind every balance sheet there is a talented brain and that brain is called a Chartered Accountant. As part of Vikasit Bharat, he said that Prime Minister Modiji’s aspiration is to become a $ 30 trillion economy by 2047, and Andhra Pradesh’s goal is to achieve $ 2.4 trillion.
Minister Nara Lokesh called on CAs to be partners in formulating policies necessary for the economic development of Andhra Pradesh. Stating that CAs have a role in the story of every rupee collected and every job created, he said that today’s CAs should have advanced technology knowledge, global awareness, AI-based communication, and ethics.
