Telangana state BJP President N Ramachander Raocalled upon party workers to cooperate and work hard with the party’s Kisan Morcha wing to try to mitigate and solve farmers’ problems arising due to negligence and wrong farmers policies of the state Congress government.
Addressing a BJP Kisan Morcha stage office bearers meeting at state head office here, he asked Kishan Morcha members to launch agitation on farmers problems as they always will have direct access to farmers in village level and they should gather all problems of the ryots while highlighting farmers welfare schemes initiated by Modi government.
BJP activists along with Kisan Morcha members should expose deceitful tactics towards farmers who were cheated by the state Congress government, Rao said, stating that even farmers are also looking towards BJP with a hope that the party will win elections if we work hard highlighting people’s problems.
He recalled that the Narendra Modi-led government has been implementing several welfare schemes for farmers like PM kisan samman Nidhi, soil health card and Fasal Bima yojana in the country to help farmers who have faced crop losses even due to natural calamities. But, he deplored that the earlier BRS government did not implement and the present Congress government led by Revanth Reddy was depriving farmers by not implementing these schemes.
Rao alleged that the state Congress government is creating artificial Urea scarcity to derive political benefit in view of proposed local body elections in the state. Revanth Reddy government had promised to make payment of Rs 500 as bonus for one quintal for 14 crops, he said so far this bonus has not yet been paid anywhere.

He questioned the Congress government about three lakh tonnes of Urea. Rao alleged that the state government is spreading false propaganda on supply of Urea.
Rao accused the state Congress government of neglecting farmers welfare during the last 18 months of its regime and now it is harping on farmers welfare when local body elections are around the corner after the High Court reprimanded and directed it to hold elections before September month.
The state party general secretary Gujjula Premender Reddy, BJP Kisan Morcha National working committee member Goli Madhusudhan Reddy, state level kisan morcha leaders and district incharge have attended the meeting.
