Friday, December 5, 2025

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made it clear that 42 percent reservation will be given to BCs in the forthcoming local-body elections. New ration cards were distributed to the beneficiaries at a program organized in Tirumalagiri town, Tungaturthi constituency, Suryapet district on Monday. Speaking at the meeting held later, the Chief Minister said that social justice will be provided by providing 42 percent reservation to BCs.

He once again made it clear that reservation will be provided to BCs in all local bodies even if the sun sets. He explained the importance of the schemes launched by the Congress government for the people of Nalgonda and the development of Telangana. He said that the combined district of Nalgonda has a history of struggles and that leaders and people who showed courage belonged to this land.

He said that Nalgonda is the main place among the districts that inspired the Telangana movement. He lamented that Kaleshwaram, which was undertaken with a lakh crore rupees, became Kuleshwaram in three years, but the projects built during the 70-year-old Congress regime are still running smoothly.

He said that many projects like Medigadda and Sundilla could not stand, and there is nothing wrong in throwing the Sundilla pitcher at the BRS leaders.

Revanth Reddy said that if Nalgonda district is still getting water, it is because of the projects built during the Congress regime. Revanth Reddy, who made severe criticism of the BRS regime led by former CM KCR, asked, “Have you given a single ration card in ten years?” He was furious that those leaders could not even tolerate his government giving rice to the poor.

He said that today the Congress government will give 5 lakh new ration cards to all those who do not have ration cards. He said that people should not be deceived, real welfare is important for them. He said that two lakh loans have been waived off to farmers, but an attempt is being made not to publicize this matter.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that those who criticized the issue of farmer assurance were wrong, but that in just 9 days, Rs. 9 thousand crores of farmer assurance was sanctioned for 1.48 crore acres. He proudly stated that Rs. 21,000 crores were spent for loan waiver and deposited in the accounts of the farmers.
