Expressing strong objection to the inappropriate comments made by MLC Teenmar Mallanna against her, Telangana Jagruti President and BRS Party MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha met Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy at his house and filed a complaint against him. She demanded that Naveen Kumar alias Teenmar Mallanna should be disqualified as an MLC immediately, stating that he is not eligible to be an MLC.
Later, speaking to the media, Kavitha expressed her deep anger and said “Girls are highly respected in Telangana. BC children have a high chance of being respected. Women are afraid to enter politics due to the use of masculine language against women in politics”. She made it clear that Telangana Jagruti will continue to fight for the implementation of BC reservations in Telangana.
“Our people got angry at the words spoken by Teenmar Mallanna and protested. Will you kill me with a gun just for this? Can’t you tolerate a girl child asking a question?”, she expressed his deep anger. Meanwhile, MLC Kavitha filed a complaint with the Hyderabad IG on Sunday demanding the arrest of Mallanna, who made the most despicable comments against her.
She not only explained the comments made against her but also provided scenes related to them. Later, speaking to the media, Kavitha wondered“Was Teenmar Mallanna the one who attacked our Telangana Jagruti activists? Or was it the government? We need to know.” She demanded that the government should conduct a thorough investigation into this.
“We need to know why the gunmen had to shoot. Gunmen do not shoot without Mallanna’s orders. The Teenmar Mallanna gunmen who opened fire on our activists should be dismissed immediately,” Kavitha demanded. “Even during the Telangana movement, no gunmen, not even the police opened fire. But today, it is sad that the Teenmar Mallanna gunmen are opening fire like this,” she added.
Kavitha said that even if he is a BC, Mallanna cannot speak whatever he wants. “Who is Mallanna to say that he will not let me roam outside? You have seen what happened today. The people of Telangana will not forgive abusive language. We demand the Chief Minister to immediately arrest Thirmar Mallanna”, she said.
