Hyderabad: The last rites of veteran Telugu actor Kota Srinivasa Rao, who passed away on Sunday morning at the age of 83, will be performed this afternoon at Mahaprasthanam crematorium in Hyderabad, according to his family members.
Kota, who had been battling health issues for some time, breathed his last at his residence in Film Nagar. His passing has drawn an outpouring of condolences from across the film and political communities.
Several prominent film personalities and political leaders visited his residence to pay their final respects. They lauded his immense contribution to Indian cinema and recalled his commendable public service as a former MLA. Known for his versatility and powerful screen presence, Kota Srinivasa Rao leaves behind a legacy that spans over four decades and 750 films across multiple languages.
