BJP leadership finally wants to get rid of Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh?

Friday, December 5, 2025

The calm maintained by BJP leadership over the resignation of its three-time controversial MLA Raja Singh without making any effort unlike earlier to pacify him indicates that they are determined to get rid of him from the party.

It may be recalled that he submitted his resignation to the then state president G Kishan Reddy protesting against `unilateral’ election of the state president, without giving him a chance to contest.

Based on this letter, the BJP state leadership has reportedly decided to persuade the central leadership to accept his resignation from the party and also soon after immediately write a letter to the Assembly Speaker asking to cancel his assembly membership as well.

According to party sources, already several key leaders in the party in a letter to the central leadership have urged to expel him from the party, as he has been putting the party leadership frequently in a tight rope. They have reportedly asked the party high-command how long they should tolerate him?

Key leaders who are pressurizing the party high-command to act against him include union ministers G Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjy Kumar and new state president N Ramachadnra Rao. Almost all key BJP leaders in the state have been cultivating a feeling of jealousy against him as he is the only leader who has been winning successive elections irrespective of party’s image.

In fact, during the last two elections the entire party leadership tried to deny party seats to him and also prevented party cadres from taking part in his campaign, so as to ensure his defeat. But, due to his individual image, the central leadership showed some soft corner towards him as he has been winning elections inspite of `non-cooperation’ from the party state leadership.

Mercantile, state party leadership is also getting ready for facing by-election in Goshamahal, expecting by the end of this month the central leadership will expel him from the party and soon after they will make the Speaker to disqualify him as an MLA.

If all goes as per their plan, they are expecting the Goshamahal by-election will be held along with Jubli Hills by-election, some time during October, during the time of Bihar Assembly elections.
