BRS Working President KT Rama Rao has lamented that the BJP government at the Center for protecting the Congress government, has become the most dangerous to Telangana society due to corruption, irregularities and scams. He demanded that Union Home Minister Amit Shah answer the questions they asked.
If the Congress government in Telangana has become like an ATM for the Delhi party, why is the NDA government protecting it? Why is no action being taken on the allegations made by the Prime Minister himself that RR tax is being collected from builders and contractors? Why was no inquiry ordered even after a complaint was filed against the handover of the Amrut contract worth Rs. 1137 crore to Revanth’s brother-in-law Srujan Reddy against the rules?, he asked.
Alleging that there is a huge scam in the Kancha land affair, KTR was furious that the Center had also ignored the recommendations made by the empowered committee appointed by the Supreme Court to conduct a comprehensive investigation.
He wondered that the Modi government is showing its complicity even though the corruption in awarding the Rs 4,400 crore lift irrigation contract to the company owned by Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is in the open
He questioned the reason behind the Centre not making an announcement on the ED raids on Ponguleti’s house till now. He alleges that the failure to investigate Revanth Reddy, along with Sonia and Rahul, in the chargesheet of the National Herald case exposes the nexus between the two parties.
He questioned the BJP government’s intention in remaining silent despite evidence that Rs 45 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of a Telangana Congress leader in the Karnataka Valmiki scam.
KTR warned that the people of Telangana are watching the BJP and Congress’s sham drama and are ready to use firecrackers at the right time. Amit Shah, who called the Congress in Telangana an ATM government, accused them of forgetting that he is the Home Minister and the BJP government at the Center and becoming like ‘Naya Ghajini’.
