BRS senior leader and former IPS officer Dr RS Praveen Kumar lamented that the Congress party was the one who started phone tapping in the country. He wondered that it is strange that Congress ministers and leaders are shamelessly talking about the phone tapping issue today.
He also said that even if no one calls Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, an MP who is in the BJP party and sings praises of the Congress party, is making a comedy saying that his phone has been tapped. Will the police officers investigate this phone tapping? Will the Congress ministers and Youth Congress leaders who are in Gandhi Bhavan?, he asked. He urged the Hyderabad Police Commissioner to explain it.
He accused that in violation of the High Court orders, Chief Minister Revanth, who is in a responsible position as the Home Minister, is personally attacking the media with false writings, crazy rumors, and fake leaks by his close media houses. He deplored that Maha TV, along with some other news organizations and YouTube channels, are spreading lies indiscriminately.
Praveen Kumar demanded that the police should take legal action against all of them. He also asked the police, who have framed illegal cases against our BRS leader Gellu Srinivas on the orders of Revanth, should file a suo moto case against Maha TV, which has written indiscriminate, obscene, and disgusting news against the first Chief Minister of Telangana, KCR, and BRS working president, KTR.
He deplored that when BRS leaders went to the police station to complain about Maha TV, initially they were reluctant to take the complaint. He stressed that the police should take action constitutionally and beyond politics, the police should protect public issues.
But, he expressed concern that presently they are playing a despicable role by listening to the words of a thief who was caught red-handed in front of the cameras in a vote-for-cash case, along with a criminal history of 80-90 cases. Isn’t it true that the Revanth Reddy government is also tapping the phones of its own government ministers Ponguleti and Konda Surekha, as well as MLAs?, he asked.
