BJP Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajender has alleged that he is the first victim in the phone tapping case. He alleged that his family members, drivers and gunmen tapped his phones. In the Phone Tapping Case, the SIT officers recorded the statements of Etala Rajender and BJP state general secretary Premender Reddy at the Jubilee Hills Police Station on Tuesday.
It was found that the phones of both of them were tapped by the previous BRS government during the 2023 November elections. The SIT officers have found that 4,000 phones have been tapped so far. The SIT found that Etala’s phone was tapped before and after the Huzurabad by-election.
Also, Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao filed a complaint with the SIT officers alleging that his phone conversations were secretly learned from 2020 to 2024. Telangana TDP Organizing Secretary Vejandla Kishore Babu has complained to the SIT that the KCR government has been tapping his phone in a conspiracy. Kishore Babu has given evidence of the phone tapping to the SIT officials.
Meanwhile, Etala Rajender deplored that the phone tapping case is progressing at a snail’s pace and alleged that all the officials have acted as puppets for KCR. He was furious that former SIB chief Prabhakar Rao had violated the rules and worked for KCR. He criticized the existence of a malpractice agreement between BRS and Congress.
He alleged that the phones of prominent people from all walks of life were tapped by the KCR government. He made it clear that no one has the right to obstruct the right to freedom guaranteed by the Constitution. He deplored that the KCR government is tapping the phones of leaders other than anti-social forces.
MP Etala Rajender has come under fire for allegedly tapping the phones of his family members and followers stating that whoever he spoke to would listen to his words and threaten them. He said that they would also listen to all the conversations related to their leaders.
He said that they would listen to where we were staying in the previous by-election and who we were talking to, and even the BJP’s plans. He said that the KCR government had tapped the phones just to win the elections. He expressed concern that the probe panels instituted by the Revanth government on phone tapping and Kaleshwaram were not going fast.
Senior BJP leader Premender Reddy told the SIT officials that his two phones were tapped during the elections and alleged that the phone tapping was done to hurt the BJP. He demanded that the Congress government conduct a full investigation into the phone tapping.
