Dhanush shocked Telugu fans at the recent pre-release event of his much-anticipated pan-Indian movie, Kuberaa. When asked if he had any thoughts of directing a Telugu film, he did not hesitate in his mind. He stated his answer – Power Star Pawan Kalyan, which echoed loud applause from the audience setting Social Media ablaze.
There’s no denying that Dhanush respects Pawan Kalyan. He has, in the past, talked of his admiration for the Telugu superstar. But listening to him make a genuine claim to wanting to direct Pawan on such a huge platform has sent fan frenzy into a hyperactive mode. Although this combination hasn’t been finalized, the prospect itself is enough to make wild waves of expectation. If it happens ever, it would definitely be one of the most thrilling cross-industry ventures in Indian cinema.
In the meantime, awaiting release are Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula and starring Dhanush in a strong role. The movie is ready for a grand theatrical release on June 20.
