BRS MLC Kalvakuntra Kavitha, who is almost sidelined in BRS activities and striving hard to keep up her identity in Telangana politics, has initiated a `Leader Program’ to provide political training to the youth and women of Telangana through our own outfit Jagruti. The aim of this program is to develop the leadership skills required to bring youth into politics and bring about change in the society.
Telangana Jagruti President Kavitha unveiling a poster related to this program, said that Telangana Jagruti is going to become a political training platform for the youth and women. She believed that the entry of youth into politics will pave the way for clean politics. She said that Telangana Gadda means the philosophy of questioning.
She urged that the philosophy of questioning should not stop with us, but should be taught to the next generations. Kavitha clarified that it is important to encourage questioning thoughts among the youth through this program. For this, she said that training classes will be held for three days every month across Telangana.
Kavitha said that it will start in Hyderabad in July and will be started in the districts from August. She urged everyone interested in democracy to participate in these training classes. She revealed that this will continue as a continuous program. Kavitha said on this occasion that everyone needs to know the duties, scope and limitations of public representatives like Sarpanch, MLA and MP.
She said that training will be provided on issues like identifying public problems, solving them and obtaining funds for development. She said that if there is a will to serve the public, all paths will lead to public welfare. Kavitha said that they have been encouraging youth, women and every single leadership who takes the Telangana cause forward.
She reminded that since the Women’s Reservation Act has been passed, 33 percent of the leaders of the upcoming Parliament and Assembly elections will need to be women. She said that after the delimitation, the Assembly seats in Telangana will increase to 153 and the Lok Sabha seats will also increase. Therefore, she made it clear that we need to prepare leaders. In this order, Kavitha made it clear that they will agitate until 42 percent reservation is given to BCs.
