The Telangana cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has decided to give two DAs to the employees, and it has been decided to pay one DA now and the other DA after six months, said Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, chairman of the cabinet sub-committee formed on the demands of the employees.
Speaking at a press conference held after the cabinet meeting, he said that positive decisions have been taken on the demands of the employees so that the government does not have to bear the financial burden.
He said that in addition to the payment of DAs, it has been decided to set up a trust for the health problems of the employees and the Chief Secretary CS will be the chairman of this trust. He said that each employee will be given a health card and Rs. 500 will be paid every month in relation to it, and the government will also pay the same amount as a share.
He also said that the cabinet has also decided to pay not less than Rs. 700 crore every month in relation to the pending bills of the employees from now on. He said that the cabinet has expressed its support for the employees’ demand to implement a 12.5 percent quota in the secretariat for employees working in various HODs.
He said that the government is willing to form an employee medical inclusion committee and the cabinet has agreed to the demand of the employees’ unions not to re-recruit retired employees. He said that it has been decided to grade the gram panchayat employees based on their performance. He said that it has been decided to conduct regular DPCs regarding the promotions of employees.
Vikramarka said that it has been decided to send the employees who came on transfer during the elections back to their original posts after the elections are over. He said that the pending compassionate appointments in the Zilla Parishad have been given the green signal and the employees’ demand for a nursing director has also been approved, he said.
He said that it has been decided to increase the retirement benefit for Anganwadi workers to Rs. 2 lakh and that the pending bills related to rented vehicles are going to be paid and their rent is going to be finalized. The Deputy CM said that GO 317 will be reviewed.
