Former Chief Minister and BRS chief K Chadnrasekhar Rao, who has received notices from the Kaleshwaram Commission, is ready to say whatever they ask, said BRS leader and former MP Boinapally Vinod Kumar. He said that he welcomes the formation of a committee for the repairs of Medigadda.
He said that they have already said that the NDSA report is not required to repair the Medigadda project and reminded that the NDSA also said that the state government should think about it, analyze it, design and repair the Medigadda project.
The government has formed a committee headed by Pandya to repair the Medigadda repairs and wants the repairs to be done without any further delay. Vinod Kumar said that they have been saying from the beginning that the state government can repair the Medigadda barrage without leaving the decision-making power to the NDSA.
He said that the water is being released into the sea as water is not stored at Medigadda. Moreover, he said that nothing has happened to the Annaram and Sundilla barrages, and that the committee formed to repair the Medigadda project should start the repair work without delay. He appealed to Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy to take the initiative in this matter.
Vinod Kumar said that his party working president KTR has already responded to Kavitha’s comments and there is no need for everyone to respond. Meanwhile, in the wake of the Kaleshwaram Commission notices, former minister Harish Rao met with BRS chief KCR. Harish Rao, who has already met with KCR twice, recently met again on Wednesday.
It is reported that he went to his residence in Erravalli and met with KCR and discussed the Kaleshwaram Commission notices. It is known that the Justice PC Ghosh Commission, which is investigating issues related to the Kaleshwaram dams, has issued notices to KCR, Harish Rao, and Etala Rajender.
KCR is scheduled to appear before the commission on June 5, Etala Rajender on June 6, and Harish Rao on June 9. KCR is already in consultation with legal experts and retired engineers in the wake of the notices. It is learnt that they discussed the notices, matters related to the Kaleshwaram project, the issues raised by Justice PC Ghosh during the hearing and cross-examination, etc.
