BRS chief and former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s efforts to pacify her daughter and MLC Kavitha in the wake of uproar created with the leak of her letter, by sending two party leaders to her, are said to have failed.
On Monday, two party leaders who are related to KCR’s family tried to convince her and spoke to KCR on the phone, but she insisted that her position in the party should be clarified as of now. It seems that she made it clear in a rather harsh way that she should clarify her situation in the party beforehand, otherwise she would take her own path.
KCR summoned KTR on Sunday and instructed no one in the party to talk about Kavitha’s letter. First, BRS MP Divikonda Damodara Rao, who is very close to KCR, reached Kavitha’s residence on Monday afternoon. Jagruti sources said that he made it clear to Kavitha that he had come for consultations on the instructions of KCR. After discussing it for some time, he left.
Later, Gandra Mohan Rao, who is in charge of the party’s legal cell, reached Kavitha’s residence. He also spoke for some time and left. The two emissaries sent by KCR spoke to Kavitha one after the other. Party sources say that the consultation process lasted for about three hours from afternoon to evening.
Party sources said that they explained to Kavitha the latest political developments, the damage to the party due to internal differences, and the suggestions made by leader KCR on the problems that would be faced by each party. Reliable sources said that as part of the discussions, they also spoke to KCR on the phone.
The sources said that KCR advised her not to rush into positions as of now. However, it is known from Jagruti sources that Kavitha has not relented. It is reported that Kavitha is very adamant on two or three issues.
It seems that there is currently increased public opposition to the Congress government, and if BRS comes to power again in the coming days, KTR will become the Chief Minister, and what will happen to her then? Jagruti sources revealed that Kavitha insisted on clarifying now what status she would be given in the party or the government if KTR becomes the CM.
