BRS Working President KT Rama Rao alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is protecting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his cabinet ministers from corruption charges. Stating that Karnataka BJP leaders are lashing out at Karnataka Deputy Chief MinisterDK Shivakumar, who is facing allegations in the National Herald cases, but strangely, Telangana BJP leaders are not saying a single word about Revanth Reddy, who is also facing allegations in the same case.
He alleged that this is evidence of the incredible relationship between the Congress and BJP. Is silent on Revanth Reddy because he is aiding and abetting the land grabbing irregularities being committed by Telangana BJP MPs? Or because he is supporting the corrupt activities being committed by Telangana BJP leaders along with Union ministers?, KTR asked.
KTR also mentioned that it has been almost a year since the ED conducted searches at Ponguleti’s house. But till now, there has been no announcement from either the ED or the Ponguleti side what really happened? Why is the Enforcement Directorate and the BJP government at the Center reluctant to take action against Congress ministers? Why is Modi protecting Congress ministers?, he asked.
KTR recalled that visuals of counting machines being taken to the Ponguleti house to count money have appeared in the media. But, the BJP has not responded to this matter till now, he said. Likewise, he said that the Valmiki scam also remains in cold storage. Arrests were made in Karnataka in the Rs. 187 crore Valmiki scam. Out of which, Rs. 45 crore was transferred to Telangana.
But, he wondered that the names of the Congress leaders who received that Rs. 45 crore have not come out yet. The ED has written in the remand diary that Rs. 45 crore went to Telangana Congress leaders and it was clarified that the money was used for the Lok Sabha election campaign. But, KTR said strangely the ED has not thought of interrogating them till now.
KTR accused that the Valmiki scam also remained a Brahma secret with the collusion of Congress and BJP. Moreover, he recalled that on May 10, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who participated in the Telangana election campaign, alleged that there was rampant corruption in Telangana and that Rahul – Revanth Reddy were collecting taxes (R Tax).
But, why till now not a single step has been taken in this matter so far, he asked. “We have exposed the scam in the Civil Supply scam with evidence. The Food Corporation of India will not respond in this Civil Supply scam. The Central Government will not respond. None of the central investigation agencies are coming forward to conduct an investigation”, KTR added.
KTR wondered that even though he personally met Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and complained with evidence that the Shodha Construction Company, owned by Revanth Reddy’s brother-in-law Srujan Reddy, was illegally awarded Amrut tenders worth Rs. 1137 crores despite having no qualifications, the Central Government has not said a single word so far.
