A leading survey company has tried to gauge the public mood on the performance of 164 MLAs who won from the alliance in the past 10 months. This survey is now going viral on social media. In the past 10 months, surprisingly more than half of them, as many as 71 MLAs from the alliance have received less than 30 percent approval in their constituencies.
The survey company also has revealed the reasons for this level of opposition to 71 members of the alliance parties in the past 10 months. The same survey company had predicted that YSRCP would get 148 seats in 2019 and Jaganmohan Reddy’s party won 151 seats. The survey stated that the alliance government needs to improve the situation.
It has been revealed that there are large-scale complaints about the MLAs interfering in real estate businesses and managing them on their own. In addition, the survey analyzed the main reasons for opposition to liquor, settlements, mining, bribes in every matter, and collecting money from contractors.
The coalition government in AP was formed with an unprecedented 164 seats. It has completed 10 months of rule. With YSRCP confined to 11 seats, the coalition leaders are of the opinion that it is not possible for YSRCP to recover now. But, the YSRCP is moving forward with the confidence that it has the 40 percent vote share it has received.
Public are complaining against several MLAs for taking bribes from businessmen as well as government employees. Moreover, TDP, Jana Sena and BJP cadre are mostly staying away from their MLAs, because they are distant from the party cadre and do not care about them after winning. The Survey certainly needs to be taken seriously by the coalition parties as danger bells from the discontent within their own ranks.
It may be recalled that former chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy has been repeatedly claiming that there is huge opposition to the government. There is a lot of discussion among the rural people regarding the implementation of welfare schemes. This survey also indicates a challenge for both Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on how to rectify this situation.
