AP Relaxed Ban on Employees Transfers, Transfers continue Till June 2

The AP Finance Department issued orders on Thursday relaxing the ban on employee transfers in the state. It also issued guidelines in this regard and this relaxation will come into effect from Friday and will continue till June 2. It clarified that those who have worked in the same position for more than five years as of 31st of this month will definitely be transferred.

It said that those who retire by May 31st of next year can be transferred on request. The Finance Department stated that employees with visual impairments and children suffering from mental problems can be transferred to areas where better medical treatment is available.

It explained that those who have worked in tribal areas for more than two years and those with more than 40 percent disability will also be given priority in transfers. It stated that if their wife, husband and children have problems with key diseases like cancer, heart diseases, neuro problems, kidney transplant, they will also be given priority in transfers.

It also explained that widows who have got jobs through compassionate appointments will also be eligible for transfers. It clarified that there will be no transfers unless those with visual impairments wish to do so. It has been stated that steps will be taken to appoint them in the same place or a nearby place in the case of spouses.

It has been clarified that all transfers of employees will be considered as optional transfers and they will not be given travel allowances. The government has said that if there is a promotion, they will be transferred from their current position. It has been revealed that they will continue in their current position only if there is no promotion post in other areas.

The government has made it clear that if both spouses are government employees, they should be appointed in the same place or nearby places. Transfers to non-ITDA areas will be done only after transfers in notified agency areas. It has been decided that disciplinary action will be taken if employees who have been posted in an ITDA area from a non-ITDA area do not report within the deadline.

For transfers and postings of employees in district, zonal and multizonal cadres, only the common districts, zones and multi zones will be considered as a unit. The respective heads of departments are fully responsible for the transfer process. It made it clear that it was their responsibility to do so transparently and within the specified time frame, leaving no room for controversy.
