Kollywood actor Karthi, who was last seen in Satyam Sundaram, has made headlines for a generous gesture towards the film’s director, Prem Kumar. Despite the film receiving a modest response at the box office, Karthi surprised Prem Kumar with a brand-new Mahindra Thar Roxx AX5L SUV, fulfilling the director’s long-cherished dream.
A video of the car being handed over has gone viral on social media, drawing appreciation from fans for Karthi’s thoughtfulness. The actor is currently busy with multiple projects, including Sardar 2, Kaithi 2, and Va Vaathiyar.
In an emotional Instagram post, Prem Kumar expressed gratitude, revealing that he had been dreaming of owning a white Mahindra Thar 4×4 but was waiting for the 5-door version due to practical reasons. He shared that after several failed attempts to purchase the car, he reached out to Karthi for assistance. To his surprise, Karthi, along with his brother Suriya, arranged the vehicle as a gift.
Prem wrote, “Yesterday, I received a photo of the car from Suriya sir. I was shocked. When I called Raja sir (Karthi) and told him I didn’t have the money right now, he laughed and said, ‘Prem, this is a gift from Suriya sir.’ I had no words. I received the car from Karthi anna at Suriya sir’s house. It still feels like a dream.”
The director concluded by stating that he doesn’t see the car as a mere gift, but as a fulfilled dream shared between brothers. The gesture has since become a talking point among fans and industry circles alike.
