Following the success of delivering a blockbuster with Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun is now preparing for his next big project—this time collaborating with star director Atlee. The movie, announced on Allu Arjun’s birthday, will be produced by Sun Pictures and is said to be their costliest production so far, with the aim of achieving a huge pan-India appeal.
The producers, according to sources, are looking to shoot the movie on a fast track and eye an early 2026 release. The international team of experienced technicians, especially in VFX, has already been assembled. Pre-production is almost at an end, and news is that the team is elated with the result of a test shoot done recently. Principle photography is likely to commence imminently.
In a thrilling twist, sources within the industry indicate that one of Bollywood’s biggest stars will feature prominently in the film. The role is said to be intended to maximize the film’s appeal in the Hindi-speaking market. Although the actor has not been officially revealed, Atlee’s record-breaking success with Jawan has fuelled rumors that a number of Bollywood’s highest-profile stars are keen to sign up for the project.
In the meantime, the hunt for the heroine is still on, with actresses such as Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thankur being rumored. Still, nothing has been officially announced about the heroine.
Preparations are in full progress, with big sets already in the making. Allu Arjun is also being reportedly put through rigorous physical training by a celebrity fitness trainer to change his appearance for the role. The movie is reportedly being penciled for a big summer 2026 release, hoping to impress audiences from languages and geographies.
