God of Masses, Nandamuri Balakrishna, may be joining Tamil cinema with a bang. There are high chances of the legendary actor making his Tamil debut in the star-studded cast of ‘Jailer 2’, the highly awaited sequel to Rajinikanth’s super hit Jailer. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, this sequel has already set humongous expectations all over South India.
Following the success of the first one, the burden is even greater for ‘Jailer 2’, with Rajinikanth again at the helm. Shiva Rajkumar, making a cameo that was short and impactful in Jailer, should also return, it is reported. Now, adding even greater excitement to the equation, sources indicate that Balakrishna could have a central role to play in the sequel.
Reports suggest that Balakrishna and director Nelson have already discussed the role. Contrary to a standard cameo, Balakrishna is said to have requested a bigger character with good screen presence. In answer, the makers are said to be re-shaping the script to include the actor in an impact sequence.
This mooted team-up of two of South India’s largest stars is already sending fans into a whirlwind. If true, Balakrishna’s foray into Tamil film with Jailer 2 would make for a blockbuster on-screen moment uniting the fanbase of both actors, and pushing the sequel to new heights of excitement and appeal to an even broader base of viewers.
Audiences from both Telugu and Tamil industries are waiting with bated breath for an official announcement as this much-awaited film keeps gathering steam.
